Default The best way for failover configuration

Hi people of howtoforge, I'm from argentine and my english is not the best. I have a server wich I'd setup with the perfect server guide on debian squezze and is running perfectly. Now I'm planing to setup another server in different location with different ISP. I was looking in maaany posts about this setup and there is a lot of posts about this but I'm not really sure about the way to do that. My big problem is the failover situation... how many public IPs do I need to setup this? 3 or 4?? For your personal opinion... which is the best method to setup this in a free way? pfsense? HAProxy/Heartbeat?? Thanks in advance
