Master Slave Update problem...

I accidently updated the Master before the slave and got as far as on the slave running the update and getting to the point of asking me mysql root credentials. I cancelled the setup and that's where im currently at.

What is easiest at this point to get them back on the same version and the mysql databases sync'd?

Restore the previous config on the master and then try to update the slave first?

The master has to be updated first in current releases, so everything is fine. Just rerun the update on the slave.

Just to be clear, when it asks me the mysql information. Is it asking me for the slave user login and password, or actually 'root' mysql user and password on the master server.

The mysql root password as it indicates, I was making it harder than it was. I checked the original tutorial to double check it.
