Default Joomla 2.5.6 Install Question

In the Joomla install, it suggests that I turn off output_buffering.
I had a look in /etc/php5/apache2/php.ini file (I'm running Ubuntu 10.04 LTS), and noticed that it is set to 4096 (presumably by ISPConfig as the default value is off).

I wanted to check with the guru's here before I went and set it to off, because there must have been a good reason why you set it to 4096.

My VPS has 512M memory allocated to it, and plenty of bandwidth.

Should I do what Joomla is asking?

Cheers,
Nap
