Apache and Nginx on same server?

Hi all,

i have a server with 2 IPs and want to run both apache and nginx independently (each on its own IP), so that some sites will be configured with apache (only) and some with nginx (only).

Is this possible to setup 2 instances of ispconfig on 2 IPs/domains, but on same server? Or this is will cause conflicts?

Maybe there is an easier solution with a single ispconfig setup?

This will not work with ispconfig. But you can run 2 virtual machines on that server, one with a ispconfig 3 apache setup and one with a ispconfig 3 nginx setup.

Do we have any HOW-TO to do such a thing @ howtoforge? (2 virtual machine on the same server each running difference ISPConfig)

Hi,

You can create a virtual server from ISPConfig (VServer -> Add new record). Then you just install ISPConfig to each virtual servers.

P.S. this installation tutorials are for Debian Squeeze only. But you also can find another install tutorial at howtoforge.com/forums
