Default how to setup a postfix server on a static IP
hey frenz
m a newbie to ubuntu, ive worked on server system on windows platform and now wish to master ubuntu....
i dont know if this is the right place for this thread, but i want to install my postfix server on ubuntu server 12.04 LTS (presently installed on my virtual machine)
i dont want to go for a domain name stuff....
i just want to run a server on my static IP fr learning purposes....

How do you mean that? Do you want to send emails without a domain name?
