Hi there,

since we have updated ispconfig to the latest versione (3.0.4.3) we can't anymore limit the reseller resources... :-(

From the previous versione (3.0.3.#i can't remember the last number, probably was 3#) we could add additional template to the reseller from the database (table client field template_additional) and then, go to ispconfig on the limit of the reseller, in which we could see the list of all his services and then save the new limit updated with the new template.

But now, if we do the same thing, when we save the reseller limit from ispconfig, we don't see any template id listed on the reseller and the field "template_additional" and "template_master" are totally empty :-(

Someone can helps?

There was a bug in 3.0.3.3 that client templates were also visible for resellers, this was not intended as applying a client template to a reseller changed the status of the record in the database to client so the reseller lost the ability to manage clients. This has been fixed in 3.0.4.3 so that the client templates can not be applied anymore to resellers.

Templates for resellers might be implemented in future.

mmmh...relatively ok but...
How can I limit the resource of a specific reseller if i cannot put a template on his profile?
And by extension of this concept, how it's possibile for us (we are the super-admin of the server) limit the resources that a reseller can setup on his customer?
Because if i can't limit the resource of the reseller, the reseller feature itself it's pretty useless i think... :-(

All limits of a reseller are available on the limits tab of that reseller, you can limit all resources in detail there as admin e.g. how many sites the reseller can assign to its clients etc. This is not affected by this change and works the same as before. Templates are just shortcuts to make it faster to set the Limits on the limits tab by inserting limits into the fields with ajax, so the templates do not contain the actual limits.

sorry for the delay on my reply, but due other priority I could'nt analyze before.
Ok, i have tried to limit the reseller without template but directly via the limits from reseller tabs. But it look that doens't works.

For example, from limit tabs i have setup "Max. Number if web domains" to 15. Saved this preference. Checked that was saved in database. Then i have complete the login as the reseller itself, and tried to add web domains.
I could add more and more domain without limitatations (at the time of this post, the resellers has a limit of 15 domains with 18 domains active inside is panel).

Where i can check in order to prevent this?
