Recipient address rejected: User unknown in local recipient table.

Hello to everybody,

This is a issue that i think is does not fixed. When add subdomain like domain (subdomain.domain.tld) and later add the same domain.tld, the mail users are rejecteds. Per example:
I make a new domain "linux.howtoforge.com" and make users for this subdomain "doctor@linux.howtoforge.com". This email works fine. But we add a new domain like "howtoforge.com" (I mean the same domain) and make user and email "new@howtoforge.com", note that is the same domain, but not subdomain, then this email account not works. Appears the message " Recipient address rejected: User unknown in local recipient table."

I hope that my explication to be clear. Total, if make a subdomain independent, working with autonomy, and later i add a domain with the same name, the emails accounts not works.

Somebody could help me with this weird issue?

Ahh!! I use Linux Ubuntu and Ispconfig 2.2xx and Postfix (a perfect server)

Please check that both hostnames (domain and subdomain) are listed in /etc/postfix/local-host-names, and that all your email accounts are listed in /etc/postfix/virtusertable.
