Default Slow downloads on the VMware images.

Hello, I have subscribed here in Howtoforge because I want to download vmware image here. Unfortunately the download speed is abysmally slow. 10.3kbps.. So i plan to download it in my server which has a very speedy connection.

I plan to do it using wget in the command line. But unfortunately i need to authenticate to the server. So what others suggest is this:

1) Export the cookie from my browser
2) Transfer it to my server
3) Use wget --load-cookies cookies.txt -p http://www.howtoforge.com/download.php?id=6489_0

Too bad it failed to download the image.

So how can I download it to my server?

Please help.

I get normal download speeds in my browser. What browser do you use? Did you try other browsers/other computers?

I've just downloaded it without any problem (at 2MB/sec.). Is it possible your Internet connection got interrupted during the download?
