Default How Do I Help?: Setup A Wireless Connection/Drivers/Adapter Etc

I have a HP Pavillion dv6000 Notebook PC - I need help Setting Up a New Connection to a Wireless Local Area Network in Linux Lucid Lynx 10.04 LTS

I am not sure what to specifically call this but I just upgraded to the above Linux platform and cannot get a wireless signal. As a matter of fact when I check the wireless menu it is nothing there, no drivers or anything.

Does the "HP Wireless Assistant" work in Linux? I found it at http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/d...t=1842155#N345

I need to get this system operational ASAP! Can anyone help with step by step instructions? Thanks in advance!
