hostname in logs
First, hello everyone. I'm new to this forum, so if I posted this thread in wrong one, i'm sorry.
I've change the hostname in the server.
old hostname --> oldserver.example.com
new hostname --> newserver.example.com
1st - I've modify /etc/hostname
2nd - I've modify /etc/hosts
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
127.0.1.1 newserver.example.com newserver
xx.xxx.xx.xx newserver.example.com newserver
3rd - I've run /etc/init.d/hostname.sh stop & etc/init.d/hostname.sh start
4th - test:
run hostname --> newserver.example.com
run hostname -f -->newserver.example.com
I change also the /etc/postfix/main.cf files replacing "mydestination" and and both SSL certificates (IMAP and POP) replacing "CN" value.
Every thing seems ok, but every log files are still showing oldserver.example.com.
It's necessary reboot the server?
Thanks
