Question iSCSI Target on Ubuntu 11.04 - SBS 2008

Hi All,

I have been following the advice on the how-to http://www.howtoforge.com/using-iscs...tor-and-target to set up iscsitarget service on ubuntu. The problem I am having is that when trying to configure the Windows SBS 2008 iSCSI Initiator, the Volumes and Devices list remains blank, so I am unable to mount the iSCSI Target as a drive in Windows. Any ideas what might be causing this?

My iSCSI target configuration:
Quote:
Target iqn.2011-09.org.trmcc:storage.lun0
IncomingUser backup backup123456$
Lun 0 Path=/dev/zero/storage_lun0,Type=fileio,ScsiId=lun0,ScsiSN=lun0
Command to create LUN:
Quote:
sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/storage/lun0 obs=1 seek=100G
Thanks for any advise you may have.

~Mike

I just wanted to follow up in case anyone else is running into this issue. For some odd reason I mistyped the path in my config file.

It should have read:
Quote:
Target iqn.2011-09.org.trmcc:storage.lun0
IncomingUser backup backup123456$
Lun 0 Path=/storage/lun0,Type=fileio,ScsiId=lun0,ScsiSN=lun0
After making that change, everything was hunky-dory.
