Default Solution

The solution is to copy all you old awstatsxxXXXX.yourdomain.com.txt files (xxXXXX is mmYYYY ) from the /tmp folder of your cpanel account in /var/lib/awstats directory as root.
Then wait for one day for stats to recreated and you are done.
