I have a problem with Ubuntu 11.04, when i try to connect to new net wifi the dialog box does not show the WPA option. I can see it only when i choose new hidden network but then does not works too.
But it is weird but with Ubuntu 10.04 in a laptop that dialog box option is visible... Why?

When you right-click the WiFi-symbol in the task bar, there's a menu entry at the very bottom (don't know how it's called...) where you can choose WPA. At least it's like that on Linux Mint 11.
Thanks Falko for your reply
But it does connect, how i connect? It does not apears any button to connect and if i choose the network by SSID in the menu, only i can get wep... its a great fail and so weird..

The menu entry is called "Edit Connections...". Go to the "Wireless" tab and select your WLAN network. Click "Edit" to configure the available protocols. Browse the "Wireless Security" tab and select the desired security protocol from the dropdown menu. Enter your password and click on "Save".

And later... because still without connect, does not connect auto... nothing, meanwhile with WEP do it...
Thanks Falko
