Default DNS Server Requirements

Hey,

i want to setup a multiserver enviroment, but i have to decide which servers I will be using. I am probably going to rent them all from hetzer.de, and I want to have mysql and apache on 1 machine, 1 for mailserver and 2 dns servers (Nameservers), however, I dont know how much traffic and specifications a dns server needs, since I have been using the hetzer dns servers until now.

For example would this server be enough for nameserver usage ? SERVER

I've heard that you can rent Nameservers is that advisable?

Thanks in advance,

Germinator

DNS servers don't need many resources, so the server you linked to should be enough.

Normally your domain registrar should run nameservers that you can use (some registrars don't even charge for it). It's easier to have someone else run your nameservers, but on the other hand you don't have that much influence on those nameservers of something goes wrong.

Yes, that one should be enough for DNS.
