Drive crash

I had a server that its drive crashed and the backup was about a week old. Several things have happened since then and when I restored the server its not replicating the changes even new changes.

Can this be repaired?

Can you tell me how the replication process works so I can fix the issue otherwise?

Download ispconfig tar.gz on the slave server, run the update.php script, select to reconfigure permissions in the master database when the installer asks you.

The replication process works like this: The slave connects to the mysql master database once in a minute and downloads all changes that were for this slave and then updates its local database.
