Unhappy USB mouse not working after upgrade

I upgraded from suse 11.3 to 11.4 and during setup the mouse worked. Once I log into the GUI though it does not. I went into console and ran Yast...the mouse is listed. I also ran cat /proc/bus/usb and it seems ok
I also did modprobe -l|grep mouse
The Kernel is 2.6.37.6-0.5
I am a No0B so any help is appreciated.
Neither my logitech cordless or the lenovo corded usb mouse work.
