Default Install Fedora12 in VMware and bypass easy install

This is my first post and I dont expect anyont to understand my problem but her goes.

I am in school after 40 years taking network management courses and one of those is Linux OS.
I have tried to install Fedora12 from the setup disk several times using VMware and each time easy install takes over.
Is there any way to stop easy install??????

The problem is I cannot setup the disk space properly because easy install does not allow interaction. After install and Fedora starts the LVM is missing and when updating software all I get is unexpected errors and have 545 updates to install. I also run out of disk space trying to install other options.

Thanks in advance for any help.
