Default Installation / Confiuratoin of Oracle Enterprise Linux

hi,
iam going to install oracle enterprise linux 5 on my server. i need to use this server for oracle appslications and hence oracle apps and database will be installed later. server config is hp proliant dl 380 , 6gb ram, 146gbx6 hdd etc.
i do have the media for oel. but as i dont have enough experience installing it. can we have the software raid as well , if possible i would like to have raid 1. i request anyone to let em know the steps for installing oel.
