Hi all, I am trying to upgrade my Debian with the latest stable kernel 2.6.35.7 from kernel org , but after 1 hour compiling the process stops with this error

Quote:

echo done > debian/stamp/build/kernel
/usr/bin/make -f ./debian/rules debian/stamp/binary/pre-linux-image-2.6.35.7custom.1.0
make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-2.6.35.7'

echo "The UTS Release version in include/linux/version.h"; echo " \"\" "; echo "does not match current version:"; echo " \"2.6.35.7custom.1.0\" "; echo "Please correct this."; exit 2

does not match current version:
"2.6.35.7custom.1.0"
Please correct this.

make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.6.35.7'
make: *** [kernel_image] Error 2
server:/usr/src/linux-2.6.35.7#
I have typed in make menuconfig kernel version custom.1.0

I am using these commands
make-kpkg clean
fakeroot make-kpkg --revision=custom.1.0 kernel_image

thank you all
