Question CheckDNS.net is Slow or down
Im sure many of you have heard of the DNS checker

checkdns.net
to check records and site status.

The thing that annoys me is that it's slow, and often down. Anyone head of a alternative php script that can be uploaded to a web server? I wish I could write one but I don't know php.

I don't know of a PHP script that you can host on your server, but have you tried http://www.intodns.com/ ?
