Default SendMail and squirrelmail

Hello all
i own a VPS where i have installed squirell mail and courier.
I have upgraded the VPS to a new operating system so in the transition phase they gave me another VPS to setup with my stuff.
I installed again squirrelmail and courier.

Mail is working fine apart from one thing:
when i sent email from my new address (*to myself), all mail gets redirected to var/mail/<myuser> as opposed to the INBOX directory for squirrelmal

could anyone tell me why? apparently SENT folder and Thrash folder are ok....

Did you configure your mailserver to use Maildir instead of mbox?

Hello falko,
i think i sorted out the problem

by random telnetting into port 25 i discovered that sendmail was running and postfix was shut..
probably i messed up postfix installation, so i removed sendmail and reinstalled postfix and everything seems to work fine

regards
marco
