Separate /var /tmp /boot on lvm

I didn't want to hijack the other thread.

I saw that Till said that in Ispconfig 3 the folder/partition that get uses the most is /var . I thought that the email went into the /usr directory.

If /var stores the emails and the websites, then that partition should be the largest.

I was going to adjust my LVM over the weekend. I was going to share the vast amount of memory between /var and /usr, but now I am thinking that the majority of the memory should be used by /var only.

Is this correct?
