Default Redirect Type

Hi,

I just got myself a VPS and installed ISPConfig 3 with this tutorial, http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect-se...nny-ispconfig3, and everything works great!

I only have 2 little questions; if I create a website www.example.com, and I type in my browser example.com, I don't get to www.example.com

So I create a domain alias example.com... I then have to pick a redirect type (R / L / R,L). Is there anyone who can explain the difference between those.

Also, if I just ignore this setting, and don't set a redirect type, it does redirect me to www.example.com with a "302 moved temporarily"-header, can this be set to 301 permanently ?

Thanks in advance!

Greetings, xWolfx
