Default Can I use nginx?

Hi all there:

I have an installation of ispconfig 3 on my server and I don't like my apache2 memory usage.

My question is simple: can I configure nginx on my server? or if I do it I'm going to have a lot of problems?

Sorry if it is a trivial question...

Cheers
