Default can not forward an email to an email that is forwarded again

Hi there,

i have 2 email addresses, address1@domain1.com that i have set to forward to address2@domain1.com . Now address2@domain1.com is set to forward to newaddress@newdomain.com. The problem is that if i email to address1@domain1.com the email is not delivered to newaddress@newdomain.com .

I think it is because the mail is forwarded again. I am using centos 5.4 and ispconfig 2.2.34

Any thoughts ?

Regards,

Leon

As far as I see, the mail gets delivered to root. Is address1 maybe listed in /etc/aliases?

no, the address is not in aliases.

the email seems to be delivered to webupdate@domain1.com . I have set a rule whatever arrives to webupdate@domain1.com to be forwarded to info@domain1.com that is again forwarded to newaddress@newdomain.com.

If i send something to info@domain1.com this is forwarded to newaddress@newdomain.com without any problems. The problem occurs that the email is not forwarded from webupdate@domain1.com to info@domain1.com ... Can you try this on your server ? I have used the perfect setup to configure postfix...

Regards,
Leon
