Default What does the CGI box mean?

Just wondering here, but I am not sure what the box means. While I am here, what does the SSI check box mean?

Right now, all of my sites are running with SuExec and FastCGI. Am I missing anything? I am checking all of this because I can not get XCache to cache my actual sites. Just the admin section of xcache.

Thanks.

Default

The CGI box enables processing of cgi scripts in the cgi-bin directory.
