VirtualHost Problem

i have recently installed Ubuntu 9.04 and i did follow the perfect guide to set up ISPconfig.

Everything runs just fine and dns also seems to be working, but when i add new sites, the apache server doesnt seem to handle the requests correctly.

example1.domain.com has /var/www/example1.domain.com/web as document root..

example2.domain.com has /var/www/example2.domain.com/web as document root..

Still, when i try to access the domains through my broswer, they all get sent to /var/www/sharedip/ which is the site for all hostnames who dont have a virtualhost setup yet.. any ideas on how to fix this?

Please make sure that you selected the correct IP address for the website., otherwise you get the sharedip page. If your server is behind a router, you have to select the internal IP address and not the external IP in the site settings.

i do have selected the correct address and i am not behind a firewall or router that could cause any trouble for me, that is the strange part.. i am out of ideas
