Default Can I use same db user in multiple db's?

I get an error message if I try to assign an existing mysql user to a new database. Is there a way to allow a common db user for multiple databases?

You can do this e.g. in phpmyadmin but not in ispconfig.

Thanks, till. This post belongs in the ispconfig3 forums, sorry.

So to expand on your answer, in ispconfig3 I have to create a new database user for each new database?
