Default which perfect server setup is more perfect?

I discovered the link I used on the ISPconfig site is linking to another perfect server setup http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect-se...ispconfig-3-p6 then the last one which is showed by search in howtoforge http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect-se...86-ispconfig-2

My question, which one is more perfect? Is this the reason my e-mail and ftp are experiences troubles which are reported here in many posts? Differences are e.a. mydns vs. chrooted bind dns. pure-ftpd vs. proftp, suphp suopen rkhunter, jailkit, fail2ban etc etc etc
