Default Terminal

catracho,
A package I like a lot from Synpatic Package Manager is "nautilus-open-terminal" This allows you to right-click on the desktop or within a folder and open a terminal right there. Very handy and saves me from going to the menu every time.

For common linux commands I would use the following:

http://www.ss64.com/bash/

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Us...=BasicCommands

and of course, my all time favorite Linux resource: http://tldp.org/

Best regards,
