Default Need help configuring

Hello. I set up an Ubuntu server doing exactly as the howto said except I used server.example instead of server1.example. The only problem is that I cannot connect to my WAN IP only my LAN IP. I dont have a domain name I just want to use my WAN IP address as my domain. Also proftpd wont connect with my WAN IP. Its not a router problem becuase I opened all ports and also I can't connect to my WAN IP with computers on my network. I dont know if this is an apache problem or ispconfig problem because I am new to setting up both. Can anyone help me? Feel free to ask questions/config files/whatever.

Have you tried to connect to your WAN Ip from inside your local network or from outside your network?

Connectiong from inside your network to your WAN IP is IP spoofing and may be prevented automatically by your router.
