GRUB Linux, and WinXP RAID *SOLVED
I added this to my menu.1st file and it got windows working (my original problem is below):
title Windows XP
root (hd1)
map (hd0) (hd1)
map (hd1) (hd0)
chainloader +1
savedefault
boot
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
I need help getting a WinXP option in GRUB to work. Windows is installed on 2 SATA drives in RAID 0. Debian Linux was installed recently on a seperate IDE drive. Right now I can switch between the two OS by changing the boot order in BIOS.
Below I've included /boot/grub/menu.1st file and the dump from doing fdisk -l
Could someone help me figure out what I need to add to load windows? I would be greatful.
Here is my current /boot/grub/menu.1st file:
# menu.lst - See: grub(8), info grub, update-grub(8)
# grub-install(8), grub-floppy(8),
# grub-md5-crypt, /usr/share/doc/grub
# and /usr/share/doc/grub-doc/.
## default num
# Set the default entry to the entry number NUM. Numbering starts from
0, and
# the entry number 0 is the default if the command is not used.
#
# You can specify 'saved' instead of a number. In this case, the
default entry
# is the entry saved with the command 'savedefault'.
default 0
## timeout sec
# Set a timeout, in SEC seconds, before automatically booting the
default entry
# (normally the first entry defined).
timeout 5

color cyan/blue white/blue
## password ['--md5'] passwd
# If used in the first section of a menu file, disable all interactive
editing

by the
# command 'lock'
# e.g. password topsecret
# password --md5 $1$gLhU0/$aW78kHK1QfV3P2b2znUoe/
