Cheers for your help on this one Till.

I have re-done all the config steps for Postfix and am still having problems with Outlook.

Let me clarify that webmail works fine! However in Outlook, everything works fine until I go to send an email, then I get the "Enter Network Password" box and my correct password does not work.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

Rich

Which error do you get in the mail log?

My house is the bb.sky.com address. You see when I try to login for POP3 it is fine but for SMTP it goes wild.

Code:

Try this:
Code:
adduser postfix sasl
/etc/init.d/postfix restart
/etc/init.d/saslauthd restart

Thanks for your help guys. The sending using Postfix now seems to be in operation. However small issue, it seems that there is an issue with one as shown here:

Code:
Feb 27 22:43:29 phennerweb imapd: LOGIN, user=web1_richard, ip=[::ffff:127.0.0.1], port=[42662], protocol=IMAP
Feb 27 22:43:29 phennerweb imapd: LOGOUT, user=web1_richard, ip=[::ffff:127.0.0.1], headers=0, body=0, rcvd=46, sent=432, time=0
Feb 27 22:43:33 phennerweb postfix/qmgr[18630]: DA0E1D7CAF: from=<r.miller@internationalfiresolutions.com>, size=754, nrcpt=1 (queue active)
Feb 27 22:43:33 phennerweb postfix/qmgr[18630]: 40FB8D7CB1: from=<john@masterfireinternational.com>, size=4897, nrcpt=1 (queue active)
Feb 27 22:44:03 phennerweb postfix/smtp[26198]: connect to phennerwebeb.co.uk[67.215.65.132]:25: Connection timed out
Feb 27 22:44:03 phennerweb postfix/smtp[26198]: 40FB8D7CB1: to=<web4_rob@phennerwebeb.co.uk>, orig_to=<r.miller@internationalfiresolutions.com>, relay=none,$
Feb 27 22:44:04 phennerweb postfix/smtp[26001]: connect to phennerwebeb.co.uk[67.215.65.132]:25: Connection timed out
Feb 27 22:44:04 phennerweb postfix/smtp[26001]: DA0E1D7CAF: to=<web4_rob@phennerwebeb.co.uk>, orig_to=<r.miller@internationalfiresolutions.com>,
As you can see above, web4_rob is at the address: phennerwebeb.co.uk.

It should be "phennerweb.co.uk" not "phennerwebEB.co.uk". Is there anywhere I can change this? I cannot think whrere I may have put this in!

Thanks,

Rich

Take a look in your main.cf file and in /etc/mailname and change it there.
