Default centos dns

I am looking for help. I have a group project in my linux class and we have to install and configure DNS on a Linux machine with Centos 4.2 patched current. Any idea or suggestions would be greatly welcomed.

If you have to use BIND, then you should have a look at this tutorial: http://langfeldt.net/DNS-HOWTO/BIND-9/

This tutorial is also very good: http://www.howtoforge.com/debian_dns
You can also use tools like ISPConfig or Webmin to manage your records.

If you are allowed to use another nameserver than BIND, for example MyDNS, you can check this tutorial:
Download the ISPConfig 3 Manual! | Check out the ISPConfig 3 Billing Module!
