Question Installing

Hi . I'm having problem installing elyssa 5.i'm new to linux.my comp is trying to mount root file system from floppy every time i run the cd . I have dissabled floppy , changed boot sequence but not helping. After failure to mount i'm taken to a terminal n i don know linux commands.can anyone help. I'm stranded with piling work n i hate switching to windows.

Have you already installed Linux Mint, or are you just trying to run the Live-CD?

That sounds as if your hardware is not supported by Linux Mint...
