KDE Question no floppy or hard drive listed

Ok what I have done is a software raid so /root is on /dev/md0 ... what my problem is, is I cant see the drive on kde gui my computer and also the floppy wont work through gui.

Now I can access the /md0/ (/root) by clicking on the home button and the going up two levels and there it is. If I mount the floppy in a terminal window everything is fine and it works without any issue....

So I am thinking that it might have something to do with how the drives are mapped to the media or something like that.

Does anyone have any ideas.... thanks.
