Default apt-get update command is not functioning.

When i give the command "apt-get update" i have the following results":


server1:/home/admin# apt-get update

E: Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

What could be wrong?
(I have receive these results everytime i give the mentioned command.
