Slow mail speeds
Hi everyone,
I've been watching the running processes when mail comes into my server. It involves a bit of spamassassin and clamd. Are there any configuration edits or easy ways to speed it up?
Thanks

How long does it take to deliver an email?
How's the load average on your system?

Don't get me wrong, the speeds aren't that bad. But I still feel like it is longer than it should take. My load average is quite low because we don't have too many emails coming through. However I believe if we were to get biraged by spam or had a lot more users, emails would simply take too long to get through.
It takes about 30 seconds from when the email enters the server to appear in my mailbox. And about a good 15-20 seconds I would say is spamassassin. I was just wondering if this is normal, or if there were any tweaks you could make to it.

Hi!
sounds as if SA just needs some seconds to complete network tests.
I'd this is pretty normal.

Alright, I'll take your word for it. I have heard that spamd is a little bit faster. Is it compatible with ISPConfig?

I can't seem to find spamassassin.rc.master in the same place with the latest ISPConfig. Is it somewhere new?

No, it's in /root/ispconfig/isp/conf/.
