Problem getting squirrelmail to work with SSL (https)

System:
Debian Lenny
ISPconfig version 2.2.25
Squirrelmail 1.5.1 (package from ispconfig site)

"https://hostname.net/squirrelmail" gives a 404 error not found..

Getting this error when trying "https://hostname.net:81/squirrelmail" :

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to hostname.net:81.

SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length.

(Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long)


The page you are trying to view can not be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.

* Please contact the web site owners to inform them of this problem.

Any suggestions what might be wrong?

Please recreate the SSL certificate as shown on http://www.howtoforge.com/forums/showthread.php?t=121 . Please accept all default values.

It didn't work..

But whats the connection between port 81, https and port 80 ?

Is a bit confused with the different config-files and where to find everything.

is this correct:
- ispconfig management runs on the /etc/apache2 webserver
- ispconfig hosted sites runs on the apache-server located in /root

No, the other way round and to fixe your problem, please do what falko posted above.
