Unlock A LUKS Encrypted Root Partition Via SSH On Ubuntu - cannot log in

hello,

I follow this howto: http://howtoforge.com/unlock-a-luks-...-ssh-on-ubuntu
everything is fine until I try to log in remotely to unlock the volume, this is what I'm getting:

and its of no use, it doesn't take user's password
as you can see network works
what can possibly be wrong with that?
