I guess thatb the gzip development librarys on your system are not installed. The forum article you linked above is a different problem as your output does not conatin these error messages about memory allocation.

I'am not talking about the gzip application, i talked about the gzip development libraries. I dont know the exact package name for Centos, but it most liekly ends in -dev, so something like gzip-dev or libgzip-dev. You can search for it with "yum search gzip".
I just completed the Perfect Server tutorial for CentOS 5.1 without any problems, but when I did the update it upgraded to 5.2 and I didn't realize it. Are there major differences between the 5.1 and 5.2 Perfect Server tutorial's, or just a few packages I need to install or remove? If you could post the changes if there are just a few that would be great, if there are a lot I'll just go through the new tutorial. Thanks!
