Default mail not sending

hi all

I've built up a mail server with no probs apart from one error I get, sending and reciving mail within my own network works ok, mail sent from another host to our mail server user address works ok, how ever when sending mail from a user account to a out side host we get a error.

I've looked and looked but I'm not real sure were to look, can any one help me out please.

errror I get is

It would help to tell us what MTA you are using. This is error is due to your network not being allowed to relay in your configuration

I got it to work ok, It was a setting, I change it to send mail and the web mail works, using my win email cleint to send mail doesn't work , said some thing about smtp.

I built the mail server using the ubuntu tutorial on this site
