Default My desktop won't show!

i'm using PCLINUXOS 2007 (which came with KDE by default)i tried to install Gnome desktop by following this guide( or how to) http://www.howtoforge.com/pclinuxos_gnome and after i restarted the Machine i couln't log on into my desktop because it won't show!!! it gives me the same error on all the ways that i could log in (Gnome , KDE, ETC.) it says Couldn't find charset data for locale C; using iso 8859-1!!! any idea?? please let me know i really will appreciate you guys help!!!!

from the command type xorgconfig and this will take you to manual setting of your display and then you can select which setting your monitor support,from this you can configure your mouse, keyboard, monitor.
