Default Squirrelmail login failure

Since upgrading to ISPC 3.0.2.1, Squirrelmail has stopped working. As it is only occasionally used, it took some time for the problem to become apparent so this might not be due to the upgrade.

At the login page an error message - "You must be logged in to access this page. " is received after correct username and password.

An incorrect username or password results in "Unknown user or password incorrect."

Another post suggested that a reinstall of Postfix would be a cure but it didn't work for me.

System is openSUSE 11.1 and Perfect Server Tutorial

And in reinstalling Postfix, I seem to have broken the SMPT server. This is refusing connections. Is this because the Yast install routine has modified the config files?

The login in squirrelmail is handled by either courier or dovecot and not postfix. But I doubt that your problem has to do with a authentication problem of these services, most likely it is an apache or browser issue with session permissions.

Regarding your postfix problem: Yes, yast destroys the config on a reinstall of a application. You have to download the latest ispconfig, run the update.php script and select to reconfigure services to fix this.
