Postfix Stopped Working

After having postfix installed and working for about a year, it suddenly stopped working. I don't see any evidence of being hacked, and everything else seems to be working properly. I haven't run any updates, and am not aware of any auto-updating in place. I'm running Apache on Linux.

Has anyone else encountered a similar issue? I've been trying to get email back up all day, and have missed almost a whole day's work because of it. :P

Boy, do I feel stupid. I had disabled a number of processes, and the other day added "master" to it for reasons I don't want to waste time with here. It turns out that doing so keeps postfix from running!

I re-enabled "master" and postfix is now running just fine.
