Default USB KVM switch slow mouse and keyboard

Two machines:
1. Winblows Fiesta (all works fine)
2. Ubuntu 8.04 (mouse movement is delayed, skips, slow. Keyboard skips keystrokes often at reguar typing speed. They both work fine when plugged directly and not using the KVM switch)

Belkin flip KVM switch.
