Default nic bonding debian 4 (or 5)

are there any updated (and wokring) guides for nic bonding in a debian 4+ environment, i have found a few others that are either out dated, or have many *optional* material that makes things unclear, and they still dont seem to work. i know this is the best place for stuff like this, so of course im asking here. i am sure lots of people would love something for this.

We have guides for Debian Sarge ( http://www.howtoforge.com/nic_bonding ) and Ubuntu 6.06 ( http://www.howtoforge.com/network_bonding_ubuntu_6.10 ). I haven't tried them, but they might work on Etch or Lenny as well.
