Setting Up ProFTPd + TLS On Ubuntu 8.10 - How to deal with Filezilla not working

Hi Falko,

Nice tutorial, as always. I was wondering how you dealt with Filezilla's new implementation of strict TLS protocol. So strict, it doesn't work with ProFTP that is bundled with 8.10? Do you recommend compiling the Release Candidate 2 that has the TLS protocol fix?

I tried to build the ProFTPd 1.3.2rc3, but it completly messed, and wouldn't read my config file at all. I ended up un-installing it and going back to 1.3.1, guess we might have to put up with non-working TLS til either Filezilla fixes it on their end, or someone makes a .deb for ProFTPd 1.3.2 :S
