Having had this problem before, I knew exactly where to look in the forums for the answer.
Alas, none of the solutions worked. I updated to the latest and greatest ISPConfig software today, and shortly there after, the problem started. There were no new websites or any other changes either before or after the upgrade. Last new site on server was months ago.
[***@** ~]# /etc/init.d/named start
Starting named:
Error in named configuration:
/etc/named.conf:3: change directory to '/home/admispconfig/ispconfig/web/multidoc/edit' failed: file not found
I did what was recommended:
Code:
chmod 755 /var/named/
chmod 775 /var/named/chroot/
chmod 775 /var/named/chroot/var/
chmod 775 /var/named/chroot/var/named/
chmod 775 /var/named/chroot/var/run/
chmod 777 /var/named/chroot/var/run/named/
cd /var/named/chroot/var/named/
ln -s ../../ chroot
chkconfig --levels 235 named on
/etc/init.d/named start
and change the value back to /var/named/chroot/var/named in ISPConfig as noted in these threads:

One of these threads was originally mine, with the answer.
Ok then -so what did I miss??
As always, Thanks in advance for the help.
