Will be released soon (I've already finished the "Perfect Server" for CentOS 5.2 ).

And if you want to install the current ISPConfig version on CentOS 5.2, change the version number in /etc/redhat-release to 5.1, install ispconfig and restore the original version number afterwards.

thank you till for your advice. I had the same problem.

But this comes with another error:
Quote:
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors
./setup2: line 888: ispconfig_tmp/php/bin/php: No such file or directory
ERROR: The PHP binary coming with ISPConfig does not work properly on your system! The installation routine stops here!

This error means that you did not install all required software packages. Plaese have a look at the centos 5.2 guide and install all packages as described there.

I've done this already for 5.0 (which seems very much alike with 5.1)
All latest versions of the required applications are running great and are successfully autostarted after a server reboot.

...ISPConfig wont just install :(

Please post the error messages that you get before the error that you already postde. The first error message is the one which is relevant.

I think I found the main problem...
Somewhere after checking it said:
WARNING
You are either cross compiling to a different host or you have manualy disabled important configure checks.

I guess thatb the gzip development librarys on your system are not installed. The forum article you linked above is a different problem as your output does not conatin these error messages about memory allocation.

[root@localhost install_ispconfig]# yum install gzip
Loading "fastestmirror" plugin
Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile
* base: mirror.anl.gov
* updates: yum.math.hmc.edu
* addons: mirrors.cat.pdx.edu
* extras: mirrors.tummy.com
Setting up Install Process
Parsing package install arguments
Package gzip - 1.3.5-10.el5.centos.i386 is already installed.
Nothing to do
